林伯墀簡介
林伯墀,祖籍廣東南海,1950年生。師承嶺南畫派宗師梁少航及趙少昂先生。1979年定居澳大利亞墨爾本。1980年起任教墨爾本成人教育學院中國畫課程及多個社區藝術課程,及自設南國畫院授徒。為澳大利亞難得藝術教育家,學生來自世界各地,不下幾千人,培育了大量藝術人才。林伯墀源於嶺南畫派畫風,尤精於花鳥畫,山水畫及其他畫類,畫風獨特。其書法甚具個人風格。作品分別在中國,美國,德國,越南,日本,韓國,馬來西亞,新加坡,菲律賓,香港,台灣,澳洲各地多次舉辦個展,參加國際大型書畫展及活動。并出版《林伯墀書畫集》十一輯,心經書法一輯。2003年唯一華人藝術家獲澳大利亞聯邦建制百周年勳章,以表彰其畫藝文化交流上的貢獻。2009年獲中國書畫報評選為年度人物,入選第十一屆全國美展。作品獲北京中國美術館,北京中南海,台北中央研究院嶺南美術館,澳大利亞維州國立美術館等收藏。現任澳大利亞全國美展委員會主席,海外華人書法家協會主席團主席,世界文化藝術總會顧問,國際書畫名社總會聯合主席,世僑書畫院澳大利亞創作院院長,中國顏真卿書畫院榮譽院長,南京華廈老年大學書畫院榮譽院長兼教授,中國肇慶政協書畫院顧問,中國肇慶學院客座教授,中國佛山科學技術學院校董,中國書畫報社海外發展顧問,中國華夏之星學術委員,澳洲嶺南畫會會長,澳洲國際書法聨盟會長,澳大利亞書畫學會會長,南國畫院院長,台灣輔仁大學駐校藝術家等職。
Introduction of Patrick Lam
Patrick Lam, born in 1950, originated from Nanhai, Guangdong Province. He was apprenticed to Masters of Lingnan Painting School, including Mr. Liang Shaohang and Mr. Zhao Shao’ang. He migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1979. Since 1980, he has been an instructor for Chinese painting at the Centre for Adult Education (CAE) in Melbourne, and a number of art courses in many communities, and he also set up his own South China School of Art, teaching his students. Patrick Lam is a remarkable art educator, with thousands of students coming from different parts of the world, and many of his students have become great artists. Patrick Lam’s painting style follows Lingnan Painting School, specialising in creative painting of flowers, birds, and landscape, and other themes, with his own uniqueness. His calligraphy is also unique. He has held individual exhibitions of his art works around the world, in China, America, Germany, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia, and he has also participated in many large-scale art exhibitions and events internationally. He has published eleven volumes of the “Paintings and Calligraphy by Patrick Lam”, and one volume of “Calligraphy of the Heart of Sutra”. In 2003, Patrick Lam was awarded with the Centenary Medal of Federation of Australia as the only Chinese artist, to acknowledge his great contributions to the art and cultural exchanges. In 2009, he was selected as the Person of the Year by China Calligraphy and Painting Journal, and he was selected for the 11th National Art Exhibition. Patrick Lam’s art works have been collected by the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, the Zhongnanhai (former Imperial Garden) of Beijing, Lingnan Fine Arts Museum of the Academia Sinica in Taiwan, and the National Gallery of Victoria of Australia. Patrick Lam is currently the Chairperson of the Committee of Australia National Fine Art Exhibitions, the Chairperson of the Association of Overseas Chinese Calligraphers, the Advisor of the World Culture Art Association, the Chairperson of the World Artist Association, the Director of Australian Creative Art branch of the World Overseas Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Institute, the Honorary Director of China’s Yan Zhenqing Art Museum, the Honorary Director and Professor of Nanjing Huaxia Seniors’ College of Art, the Advisor of Zhaoqing Political Consultative Calligraphy and Painting Institute of China, the Visiting Professor of Zhaoqing College of China, the member of the Board of Directors of Foshan Institute of Science and Technology, the Advisor of overseas development of China Calligraphy and Painting Journal, the committee member of China’s Huaxia Star, the Director of Lingnan Art Association of Australia, the Director of Australia’s International Association of Calligraphers, the Director of Calligraphy and Painting Association of Australia, the Director of South China Art Institute, and the Artist in Residence of Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan.
